Adopt a Pet - Living Free Animal Sanctuary “F1” 54250 Keen
Camp Rd. Mountain Center on 153 scenic acres, is a no-kill, non-
profit animal sanctuary. 15 min. from Idyllwild.
Go on a photo safari - Picturesque sites abound in the San Jacinto Mountains and include the Tahquitz Peak Lookout, multiple vista points (on and off trail), giant Jeffrey Pine Trees, Indian Rocks, Lake Fulmor and so much more.
Backpack in the Wilderness - Permits are required for camping and day hiking and are available at no cost from the Idyllwild Ranger Station “A” at Highway 243 and Pine Crest Dr.
Bird Watch - Visit the Idyllwild Nature Center “A2”. Docents at the center can guide you to feathered friend viewing.
Climb a Rock - Visit Nomad Adventures “CC” for all your rock climbing and hiking needs. Idyllwild offers clean, yet unglaciated granite, proximity to a large population center, good weather, and a
mountain setting ... the perfect rock climbing environment.
Get High Naturally - Perhaps the finest attraction that Idyllwild has to offer is Nature herself. Take a walk down Cedar Street and up River Drive. There is access to StrawberryCreek where you can sit on a rock, smell the fresh air, listen to the birds, laugh at the squirrels at play, and listen to the wind blowing through the trees.

Visit Humber Park - “A6” and hike the very easy Ernie Maxwell trail which skirts along a hillside above Idyllwild.
Visit Inspiration Point - View the Hemet valley at sunset while admiring thousands of acres of natural forest lands.
Visit Strawberry Creek - “F6” For access take Cedar Street to River Drive. It is a short distance from the walkway leading to the creek. The beauty of nature surrounds you.
